Abstract
It was a challenge for all the students during the new normal education to learn using radio and television because of the lacked gadgets that they needed for their learning. A phenomenological approach was used in this study to understand the problems they experienced, coping mechanisms, and learnings from their experiences. The study revealed that the use of radio and television was very helpful during their studies because it lessens the burden of the learners and teachers in the teaching-learning process. But it cannot be denied the fact that there were some struggles that they faced while using this kind of learning modality just as the stability of internet connections, face-to-face interactions between the students and teachers, and the adjustments they made during this period. However, they surpassed all the defiance they faced with the help of the Almighty God, teachers, family, classmates, and friends. Having a positive attitude also helped them to cope with the situations they dealt with. Based on the result, radio and television was an effective tool in teaching during pandemic education and it must be continued to use in the classroom setting.
