Malindang Range Natural Park, Philippines: Profile and the Environmental, Socio-Cultural, and Economic Perception on Sustainable Tourism. Abstract
As a diverse sector, tourism can significantly alter the economies, societies, and environments of the areas it affects. This study examined the environmental, sociocultural, and economic aspects of the tourism sites contingent on Mt. Malindang Range Natural Park (MMRNP) in the Philippines. Surveys and interviews with managers and owners of tourist sites were used to gather data. The data show that a variety of amenities and activities are provided at these locations, with a focus on nature-based travel. In general, respondents' perceptions of sustainable tourism and the effects of tourism sites were favorable, especially when it came to the socio-cultural and economic advantages of travel. However, in and around MMRNP, there was a perceived lack of tourism-related investment and little demand for sustainable tourism. The study offers suggestions for advancing ecotourism methods, improving facilities and services, bolstering community support, luring investment, and raising demand for ecotourism.

Keywords: Sustainable tourism, Mt. Malindang Range Natural Park, tourism sites, environmental impacts, socio-cultural impacts, economic impacts, nature-based tourism.
